to health, nutrition and lifestyle. Having studied in the fields
of nutrition and the nervous system for over 16 years, he represents the new
breed of thought leader, evident in the entrepreneurial ways by which he is
inspiring change in the lives of millions across the globe.
It’s Damian’s extensive knowledge and passion that has propelled him to be a highly regarded and sought after wellness expert. Staring in NZ’s hit TV show Downsize Me, in both Australia and New Zealand, he is one of the most sought after speakers on food and energy management, regularly approached to comment on health and weight loss issues.
As the founder of Australia’s #1 health podcast – The Wellness Guys, Damian’s vision, expertise and commitment to bring weekly messages of health and wellness into the lives of Australians, has made the show a phenomenal success.
In addition, Damian is the founder of the successful online weight loss challenge program – SlimYou. To be able to offer a more personlised level of support to people with health and weight issues, SlimYou has seen participants of all ages experience dramatic changes to their wellbeing in only 120 days for the last 3 years.
Passionate to further develop the careers of like-minded health practitioners abroad, Damian also founded Wellness 2.0 - an online program by which he and several other experienced colleagues coach clients from North America, Europe and Asia Pacific and offer advice and support to ensure best practice standards.
Initiator of various theories and methods to make living a healthy lifestyle easier, Damian created and instituted several health tools including the Palm Method; to assist with food portioning, the infamous Poo Chart; a clear reference of a healthy diet and the nQ (Natural Quotient) measure; identifying foods that offer more energy than calories alone can measure.
Damian currently runs his own practice, Vida Chiropractic and Naturopathy, in Sandringham and continues to maintain all his online support services. Damian also owns and endorses his own range of breakfast foods – Forage.
Dianne Scranton - Naturopath
Dianne is a Naturopath who has worked in various sectors of the wellness industry
for over 10 years. This has included running her own practice, The Naturopathic Way. Dianne has recently joined the team at Vida after moving her practice from McKinnon. She has a passion for health and wellbeing and sharing it with others. Dianne has found the greatest fulfilment in her practice working with clients to achieve their best health status and has enjoyed the individual journey with each client as they make wonderful and lasting changes to their health. She believes it is much better to make time to be well and stay well rather than to spend time in ill health trying to correct it. However, Dianne always says, it is never too late to repair and renew our health and wellness!
Dianne has enjoyed meeting the practice members at Vida and is happy her clients from McKinnon can now also receive the extra wellness care offered here at Vida. She is looking forward to meeting many more of you over the coming months and working with you on your journey to health and wellness!
Nicole Nicholson - Herbalist
After being in the finance industry for many years Nicole
found her passion for health and wellness and returned to study as a herbalist
and nutritionist.
Over the last 6 years she has worked in the health industry and is still amazed at how foods – good and bad - can have a huge impact on health!
Nicole's passion is in utilising herbs that have been around for centuries to assist the body's innate ability to heal itself and achieve balance. Nicole loves to see the changes people have made to their health and how rewarding it can be for everyone.
In my 'younger' days, I wanted to be a personal trainer and aerobics instructor (yes, they were called aerobics instructors back in the early '90s!), but for various reasons, my career took me in different directions, namely in the areas of education, publishing and career management. I have always had a keen interest in fitness and so, when I was asked to become a part of the team at Vida, you can imagine how thrilled I was – finally, an opportunity had presented itself where I could truly help make a difference in peoples' health and well-being.
I have learnt much about chiropractic since I first came to Vida in 2006. There is still a great deal I can learn, but what I do know for sure is that it has made a real difference to me both physically and mentally. I am more aware of my total body, I am rarely ill, I move better and, most importantly for me, I have more energy to chase (and sometimes catch!) my two active children, both of whom have been receiving regular chiropractic care since birth.

Kylie – Chiropractic Assistant
I have only recently started work at Vida as a chiropractic assistant, but have been receiving chiropractic care for over a year. After learning about chiropractic care and being adjusted myself I have experienced its benefits first hand and am delighted to be part of the practice. I enjoy getting to know all the new faces and forming relationships with everyone I meet.
It is amazing that I learn something new about health and life each day. I understand the importance of healthy living and the need to feel your best each day. Through chiropractic care I believe this is possible. On a personal note, I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Arts at The Australian Catholic University and will hopefully be completing my degree at the end of 2009. I enjoy martial arts and am a Black Belt in Karate.
